You can help by making a donation directly to the club or by becoming a volunteer.
Donations can be made in a variety of ways including:
Proposal Writing to secure foundation, corporate and government grants for ongoing youth development programs and special projects.
Auction & Dinner, our annual dinner dance honoring a notable personality whose life's work sets a standard for our girls and boys or contributes to the quality of life for children and their families in Lodi and surrounding areas. Watch for details of our 2004 event.
Annual Giving, a fund of contributions from individual donors who support the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs.
Bequests, remember Boys & Girls Clubs in your will and estate plans.
Planned Gifts of Securities or Property that can be designated for annual program operations or restricted to the Endowment Fund.
In-Kind Gifts of goods or services to direct service or administrative needs.
Fund Raisers for our local Club, which sponsor neighborhood-based fund raising events throughout the year, in addition to major development activities.
Volunteer Opportunities
(Must be 16 years of age or older.)
- Project Learn - This integrated after-school and summer technology learning enhancement experience consists of Homework Help and Tutoring as well as High-Yield Learning and Leisure Activities using traditional teaching and learning methodology. Volunteers are needed for tutoring and helping members with homework.
- Keystone Clubs - It is extremely important to that we teach our members and especially our teens the importance of community service and caring for others this program stresses these values. Volunteers are needed to attend meetings and work with teen members in regard to Keystone Club activities.
- Mentoring Program - The purpose of the mentoring program is to have successful adults serve as positive role models for our youth members in a one on one setting. Our youth members need to know that they have adults that care about them. We ask that an adult mentor spend at least one hour a week for a minimum of 13 weeks meeting with the youth at the Club. Time can be spent talking, doing homework, playing games or participating in other Club programs.
- Coaching Club Members - The Clubs sponsor inter-Club leagues in basketball, baseball, softball and flag football. Volunteers are needed to assist with these programs.
